We are all very excited about our move to larger facilities for our ever expanding fencing club.
We shall have one more session in the scout hall next week, Mar 29. Then there is a short break for Easter and we resume in our new venue on the 12th April. Queenscliff Surf Pavilion, North Steyne, Queenscliff is the new fixture and we are in the main hall. It is the large cream and terracotta coloured building at the northern end of the beach (see picture on right). Classes will begin at 5.00pm and run through until 8.00pm. Class times for the varying age groups will be finalized shortly. It is only a short walk from the bus routes on Pittwater Rd if coming by bus.
We are currently collecting membership fees for this year, (this is separate to tuition fees) and would ask that this be paid by the end of this month. Membership fees are $60.00 per junior & $80.00 per senior, and are paid annually. This charge goes towards venue hire, insurance and equipment purchases. Once paid, a club badge will be issued that can be sewn onto the sleeve of your jacket. Please see Alex or Marcia re. payments.
Congratulations to Anita who competed in the Roberta Nutt Shield schools competition on Sunday at Marrickville and won Bronze in the U/15 Foil. Hip Hip Hooray!!!
It is onwards and upwards for the Fencers of the Manly-Warringah Club!
